Fellow Owners,
The holidays are around the corner and another year is fast coming to a close. My grandmother used to tell me that the years passed by more quickly in every year as she got older. As a young girl, I found her statement to be preposterous. Now, I realize how right she was. While I was counting on 2021 to be a much more different year than 2020 – I was a little disappointed to find that it too, has been a year of challenges and shifts in our usual and “traditional” holidays or CBC trips and visits.
We had our Annual Owners’ Meeting on Monday, October 25th and all incumbents (Patrick O’Connor, Gus Vargo and me) being re-elected. We are all humbled and honored to serve you for another two-year term. The officer roster remains the same. We did ADD an important committee and we are looking for owner volunteers with a desire to provide feedback and input to our updating of our owner units. As we look at our annual plans – consideration for room renovation and design is on the agenda for 2022 and 2023. If you are interested – please send an email to: cbcrenovation7600@gmail.com and include your name, your unit(s) and your ownership week(s). Patrick O’Connor will be chairing this committee and look for the first meetings to occur early in 2022. We are looking forward to your participation. All meetings will be conducted remotely via ZOOM.
We had wonderful attendance at the Annual Meeting but realized that we should include dial-in information as we go forward. Know that you will note a toll-free number for our Annual Meetings going forward. There was one question and a few comments raised and answered and they are here for your consideration.
Q: When our existing contracts end (cable, internet, etc.) – what is the process for renewal?
A: Our contracts are typically in place for three (3) years and when they are within 6 months of expiration, we research and potentially obtain new bids for the services. We then choose the vendor that best fits our needs (price and service). Both our cable and internet contracts are new in the last two years.
There were several comments regarding furniture, parking lots and puddles. This resulted in our creation for of the renovation committee. Thank you.
Dates for the 2022 Board meetings have been set and we did CHANGE the timing of the pool renovation. We had originally announced that we would close the pool for weeks 17 and 18 but with wonderful feedback from all of you – we did some re-analysis. We have made the decision to shut down the entire resort for weeks 36 and 37 for both the pool renovation and for unit deep cleaning and repairs. For all owners within these two weeks – we will be reaching out to you to reschedule your time. We have openings in your same unit in the weeks surrounding the time or even at another time, so please know that we will be in touch after the first of the year.
We are so very thankful for our friends and family in 2021 and hope that we will see you in 2022 and that you have good health and a happy heart. See you soon – on the BEACH.

We have a week 53 coming up in 2022!
It’s December 31, 2022 – January 7, 2023.
Those owners of week 52 will be afforded the opportunity to reserve week 53 from January 1 – March 1 of 2022.
Then owners of week 1 will be afforded the opportunity to reserve week 53 from March 1 – May 1, 2022.
All owners will then be offered the opportunity to rent any of the week 53 units still available from May 1 – July 1, 2022.
All owners will pay 25% off rack rate for accommodations in week 53.
Any remaining week 53 units will then go up for rent to the general public as an HOA.
